The notorious gonzo-rap journalist known as much for his drunken late night escapades as for his musical accolades – namely his highly respectable defunct ‘zine In Search of Divine Styler and his long-running Vice Magazine column (ending in the early 2000′s). Yet, the group OK Cobra is where Fritz finds his true passion. Starting TODAY Monday December 6, 2009 Music For Mavericks will hold a 20 Day Food Raising Challenge for the Edmonton Food Bank. Teaming with local clothier Room 322, Music For Mavericks will collect food donations from Edmonton’s urban music community on behalf of the Hip-Hop For Hunger initiative up until Thursday December 24, 2009. After years of hearing about the album and a lot revisions later Joey Stylez Debut Blackstar is finally made available to the public. I have toured with The 411 for the past few years, & each time our message gets stronger & our reach further. This month I am honoured to play a part in spreading awareness about the situation of women & girls around the world. Our tour is based strictly on facts of global gender inequality, while simultaneously presenting a hopeful message for the future.
