Freedom Writer, Tona releases this video from his upcoming mixtape, ‘Reform School’ mixed by DJ Wristpect and directed by Big Sproxx.
In preparation for my upcoming Mixtape “Reform School” mixed by world renowned Dj Wristpect scheduled for a February release, here is some new video work I call “Vietkwam” The title comes from my African name “Kwame” and the everyday war I articulate in the lyrics using Vietnam as a metaphor for it.

Heavily influenced by golden-era hip hop but relevant to today’s sound, Five Year Journey is being dubbed as a new-age throwback. The album includes 15 songs with features from Inkspill, K-Rec, Mike Decline, and Allan Rodger and is seamlessly woven together with transitional cuts from K-Rec, a producer/turntablist, who re-mixed “It’s Tricky” by Run-Dmc, which soon became the title track for the Electronic Arts video game SSX Tricky. The album is dedicated to the group’s longtime friend, Colin Van Dyk, who passed away unexpectedly in 2010.
