The LA Times declared he was “as safe a bet for stardom as anyone out right now — the rare rapper capable of earning respect from both Kid Rock and Kid Cudi fans.” His insanely energetic performances at SXSW were the stuff of instant-legend.
Already gaining respect as a versatile artist that can go toe to toe with the best lyricists (which he did at this years Rock The Bells festival) or just rock the mic right on a party track, Yela has the ability to adapt his style to each song. The annual Hip Hop on the Avenue is back for its 3rd year bigger then ever!
This year we have partnered with CHED Santa’s Anonymous to bring accessible, safe and fun entertainment to the youth of the 118 Avenue and the Edmonton Hip Hop community as a whole.
